Private System Design Consultation

Private System Design Consultation

A private, professional consultation to design a complete in-home preparedness system, tailored to your home, available space, and household.

This is not a sales call.
It’s the first step in designing a system that actually works during prolonged disruption.

What This Service Is

This engagement is a professional system design process — not a product pitch and not a shopping list.

The consultation is a focused working session (approximately 30 minutes by phone) where we assess:

  • home layout and usable space
  • household size and mobility considerations
  • realistic duration targets
  • seasonal realities specific to Ontario

Gray-Man visibility hardening is not designed or priced during this call, as it requires in-person measurement after Safe Room systems are installed.

The purpose is to design the core system correctly before any purchasing decisions are made, so nothing critical is missed and nothing unnecessary is added.

What You Receive

After the consultation, you receive a written, home-specific preparedness system design.

This is a structured design document (typically 20+ pages), delivered within five business days.

It covers all major system categories, including:

  • water
  • heat
  • food and minimal cooking
  • light and limited power
  • sanitation and waste
  • medical readiness
  • communication and situational awareness
  • low-visibility indoor operation

For each category, the design defines:

  • what the system must accomplish
  • performance characteristics that matter
  • common mistakes and failure points
  • realistic investment ranges based on household size and duration

This is not a gear list and not brand recommendations.

It’s a professional roadmap designed to eliminate guesswork, overbuying, and critical gaps.

How Product Guidance Is Provided

We do not specify exact brands or models.

Availability changes, homes differ, and systems must remain flexible.

Instead, the design explains what to look for, including:

  • correct equipment type
  • capacity and performance requirements
  • indoor-use and safety considerations
  • compatibility with your home and storage layout

Each system category includes example product types to clarify requirements — not to lock you into specific purchases.

Final buying decisions can be made independently or managed by us during implementation.

How the Design Is Used

Once your system design is complete, you choose how to proceed.

You may:

  • use the design independently as a long-term reference, or
  • have us manage sourcing, organization, delivery, and in-home setup

The design stands on its own and remains valuable regardless of next steps.

There is no obligation to proceed further.

Optional Full-Service Implementation

Some clients choose full implementation.

If requested, we manage:

  • sourcing and quality verification
  • system organization and layout
  • coordinated delivery
  • in-home setup and walkthrough

A 35% professional service fee applies to managed implementation.

This is optional and discussed only after the system design is complete.

Consultation Fee

The professional system design consultation is $500.

This covers:

  • consultation time
  • analysis of your home and household needs
  • preparation of a detailed written system design

This fee is for professional design work, not product sales.

Typical System Investment

For households that proceed with full implementation, completed systems typically range from:

$27,000–$35,000+

Final scope depends on:

  • home layout
  • duration targets
  • seasonal requirements
  • redundancy levels

This reflects a fully designed, sourced, organized, delivered, and installed system — not equipment alone.

Who This Is For

This service is for households who:

  • want the thinking done correctly before spending money
  • value clarity over panic buying
  • prefer calm, professional planning over internet advice

If you want to understand what a properly designed in-home preparedness system actually requires, this is the right place to start.
